01

Brand and ownership

PORTALD is the trading name used for this product. The legal company operating the product is IT BOFFINS LTD, a company registered in England and Wales.
  • PORTALD uses its own name, logo, domain, product pages and customer support email.
  • The registered office is shown on the contact, privacy, terms and trust pages.
  • PORTALD advertising and product pages are for PORTALD only. They are not intended to look like another company, bank, accounting system, payment provider, government service or email login page.
02

Business monitoring and abuse prevention

Self-service portals go live straight away, and PORTALD watches what goes live.
  • Every new workspace and its proposed portal address is reviewed by PORTALD after activation, and portals that misrepresent a business identity can be suspended.
  • Suspended businesses lose customer sign-in, invitations and uploads while the suspension stands. Unknown hostnames still return a generic unbranded 404 response.
  • High-risk public-service, financial and third-party brand names are reserved from self-service PORTALD subdomains.
  • Report a suspicious PORTALD portal or invitation to hello@portald.co.uk.
03

What PORTALD does

PORTALD gives a business a branded workspace and customer portal for everyday service admin.
  • Business users manage customers, forms, upload requests, agreements, updates, invoice visibility and portal settings from their PORTALD workspace.
  • Customers or clients access a portal only when the business invites them or gives them a valid portal link.
  • PORTALD is not a bank, payment-card processor, email provider, government service, crypto service, regulated identity-verification provider or professional adviser.
  • The business using PORTALD remains responsible for the customer relationship, the information it asks for, and any professional or compliance decisions it makes.
04

Portal access and invitations

A PORTALD portal is first-party software operated on PORTALD infrastructure for the business that configured it.
  • Each business portal is separated by tenant-scoped access controls.
  • Customer passwords are scoped to the relevant business portal. The same email address may have different credentials for different business portals.
  • Invitation links are intended for the named customer or contact invited by the business.
  • If a customer receives a portal invitation they did not expect, they should contact the inviting business or PORTALD before entering information.
05

Integrations and partnerships

PORTALD may connect with third-party services when a business chooses to enable those features.
  • Accounting, payment, email, hosting, storage, analytics and monitoring providers remain separate third-party services with their own terms and privacy notices.
  • PORTALD does not claim to be an official partner or authorised representative of another brand unless that relationship is stated clearly.
  • Xero is a trademark of Xero Limited. PORTALD is independent software operated by IT BOFFINS LTD. PORTALD is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Xero.
  • IT BOFFINS LTD is listed in the Xero App Store Custom Integrator directory. That directory listing relates to IT Boffins integration services; PORTALD is not presented as a Xero-endorsed App Store app.
  • A connected integration lets the business use its authorised connection. PORTALD does not ask customers to provide third-party account passwords.
  • If a page references another brand, the reference is there to describe an optional integration or provider role, not to imply that PORTALD is that brand.
06

Lead forms and advertising

PORTALD public lead forms are for product enquiries and business contact details.
  • A PORTALD lead form may ask for a name, company name, business email and a short product question.
  • Do not send passwords, payment card details, bank details, customer files, government identifiers or third-party login credentials through PORTALD lead forms.
  • Public advertising should describe PORTALD as PORTALD and should link to PORTALD-owned pages.
  • PORTALD does not sell lead enquiry data or client portal content.
See the Privacy Policy for more detail about advertising, analytics and lead forms.
07

Security boundaries

PORTALD uses application controls designed for tenant-separated business and customer portal workflows.
  • Business and portal users authenticate before viewing protected workspace or portal content.
  • Server-side permission checks, tenant-scoped access controls and audit logs help restrict data to the right business, customer and user role.
  • Businesses should request only the information they need, explain why they need it, keep their own privacy notices accurate and remove access that is no longer required.
  • No online system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, so suspected unauthorised access should be reported promptly.
08

Suspicious messages

PORTALD will not ask for third-party passwords, payment card details, bank details or private login credentials through public ads or public lead forms.
  • If a message claims to be from PORTALD but asks for credentials or payment details in a way that seems unusual, do not provide them.
  • Check that links point to a PORTALD-owned domain or to a business portal link you were expecting from a business you recognise.
  • Forward suspicious messages or security concerns to hello@portald.co.uk.
